Holy Week & Pascha 2026

Christ is risen, and you, O death, are annihilated!
Christ is risen, and the evil ones are cast down!
Christ is risen, and the angels rejoice!
Christ is risen, and life is liberated!
Christ is risen, and the tomb is emptied of its dead;
for Christ, having risen from the dead,
is become the first-fruits of those who have fallen asleep

March 29, 2026 (The 5th Sunday of Great Lent)

It was a great blessing to find church so full on this Sunday in commemorating the life of St. Mary of Egypt. A total of 28 people were in attendance and it was pleasant to see so many new faces. It's always nice to see the evidence of a living church, and on this morning, Ziva was received as a catechumen by Fr. Paul. May the Lord grant her and the Mission of St. Olga of Alaska many, many years.

March 8, 2026 (The 2nd Sunday of Great Lent)

Progress is being made here at St. Olga's, and it seems that developing a routine around having regular services has been the greatest contributor to what we are able to manage. For that which we cannot, may the intercession of the Saints aid our labor in the Church. As for now, evangelism will be an open door.

"The Doors! The Doors! In wisdom let us attend!"

St. Olga of Alaska Orthodox Church

January 18, 2026,

Words hardly begin to convey the immense excitement we had for this day in Cadyville. The inauguration of St. Olga of Alaska Orthodox Church in Upstate New York was celebrated with the first ever (to our knowledge) Divine Liturgy served on a Sunday with the Great Blessing of the Water. As of now, we will no longer be meeting one Saturday a month, but instead, every Sunday. Glory to God for all things! Please come and visit us, we look forward to seeeing you.

Orthodox Church in Cadyville, NY

Glory to God for all things, and especially for this day in the North Country. For the Plattsburgh Mission, dedicated to St. Olga of Alaska in Northern New York, Saturday, January 3rd, 2026, marked the beginning of the next chapter in bringing a physical place of worship to an area otherwise without one. On this day, Fr. Paul Fedoroff and his family showed up in a U-Haul at our new building in Cadyville, NY, with keys in hand. Eleven faithful from the area met Fr. Paul at the new building to unload the truck full of donated church supplies from St. Nicholas’ in Cohoes and Christ the Savior Church in Ballston Lake. Much of the day was spent cleaning and assembling the iconostasis that was graciously donated to us. The building was previously used as a funeral home and now provides an open space for worship, two full rooms for fellowship, a large parking lot, and a four-bedroom apartment downstairs.

For a little over three years, the Mission in Plattsburgh has been renting a space in a Methodist church and celebrating the Divine Liturgy once a month. It would appear that the will of God and the intercession of Mother Olga have led our Diocese to make the decision to purchase a building for the great benefit of the people in our area. We are very blessed to be able to extend our gratitude to His Eminence, Archbishop Michael, and everyone in our Diocese who has tirelessly labored and petitioned on our behalf. We are excited to labor for the opportunity that has been gifted to us, for the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

For anyone wishing to visit us, the property is just under a ten minute drive outside of the city of Plattsburgh. The address is 3 Park Row, Cadyville NY, 12918.

Divine Liturgy August 2, 2025

We are always so blessed to be able to celebrate the Divine Liturgy in Plattsburgh and as many of us who attended were grateful for the large turnout. The abundance of clergy in this service was a beautiful representation of unity for the period leading up to the Dormition of the Ever-virgin Mary. We are not only unified with the Church in present times but also with the ancient Church and the Apostles as they gathered in love for our Mother in Christ.

On this day we celebrated the Divine Liturgy for Theophany and held the service for the Great Blessing of Water with our new priest Fr. Paul Fedoroff  and our newly aquainted neighbor and brother in Christ Fr. Sergei. This was Fr. Terenti's last day as presiding priest over the mission and as we are saddened with his well deserved departure from his pastoral presence, we are equally steeped in gratitude to have Fr. Paul help our mission continue to flourish in the North Country. We wish you many years Fr. Terry. Thank You for all that you have provided for us and we pray our Lord blesses you for your role in this Mission.
